Junoon all set to make a comeback after 12 years
Pakistan’s biggest rock band ‘Junoon’ is all set to make a comeback after a decade.
The event is organised by Geo and Sooper, in an effort to bring the rock band back. The event is scheduled on 25th of December at DHA sports club.
Junoonis (Fans of Junoon) have waited long to witness the sparkling concerts of Junoon again. And, it is finally happening and fans could not resist their excitements.
Furthermore, tickets of Bronze Circle and Platinum Lounge have been sold out. While, Pink, Silver and Gold tickets are available.
Junoon was formed in 1990, by the the lead guitarist Salman Ahmed. Junoon was active during 1990 to 2005. And, when the bassist Brain O’Connell went back to United States in 2005, the band started collapsing. Ali Azmat, the lead vocalist, also released his solo album that year. Then, Salman Ahmed too went on to launch his solo album.
Now, after almost 13 years, the trio is coming back to entertain their Junoonis as they used to. Fans are extremely overwhelmed, as seen on social sites, with their decision of reuniting.
The theme of the concert is named as “Sooper Hay Junoon Ka Pakistan”. And, tickets could be booked through Yayvo.com or TCS’s express center.
Junoon is undeniably biggest rock band in South Asia, and has achieved many recognition all over the world. Junoon has several successful albums under their belt. The Q Magazine wrote about them as “One of the biggest bands in the world”. The New York Times regarded them as “U2 of Pakistan”.
Junoon recently released their music video featuring lead vocalist Ali Azmat, guitarist Salman Ahmed and bassist Brian O’Connell.
