Karachi Police arrested a couple on Thursday for stealing car batteries to buy ice drug.
The couple Ali and Salma Zehra did love marriage but became the victim of ice drug . The husband was a media professional whereas his wife Salma Zehra also worked as a newscaster in a regional news channel.

“A married couple has been arrested. Police have recovered a car stolen from Gizri on December 20. Besides this we have also found car batteries and woofers which they used to steal and sell at various places to buy Ice,” said acting SP Clifton Suhai Aziz.
“The girl is a graduate of Karachi University and had remained a news anchor in three channels. The boy had completed intermediate level education and worked in media. Both married three years back out of love. They also have a 17-month-old daughter,” the SP told media.
“In order to fulfill their drug need, they used to steal cars from Defence and Clifton areas and sell the car batteries and sound system,” she added.
Later, Salma pleaded not guilty saying that she should not be punished if her husband had committed the crime.
